Mindful Muslim Review

Very few fantasy series combine a compelling story and a Tolkien-like world with a virtuous and likable protagonist. The series relies on the appeal of universal characters rather than what’s common in fantasy series today – sex and shock value.

Eragon has saved the rebels, but he’s made mistakes. He hasn’t mastered his own magic, nor does he know how to work with his dragon. His search for a teacher leads him to a wise old elf in Ellesmera. His humility in realizing his own limitations, his wisdom in looking for a mentor and studying the past traditions of Dragon Riders, his patience with his training and his own injuries, and finally his grit in the face of difficulties make this book a Gold Star.

Mindful Muslim Reader recommends books 1-5 in this series.
