- Prior to reading: To get to know Allah ﷻ is to know Him through His creations. Rocks can be beautiful. There are so many different kinds. What do you know about rocks?
- Tall mountain: Did you know that rocks remember Allah ﷻ? The Quran states “Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth ˹constantly˺ glorifies Allah—the King, the Most Holy, the Almighty, the All-Wise.” (62:1)
- Park fountain: Should we make a wish using an object? What tool has Allah ﷻ given us to make our “wishes”? We can make dua anywhere at any time, we do not use objects to do so.
- Building trimmer: Why were gargoyles used? Do we need rocks or statues to guard a roof?
- Comprehending the knowledge of Allah ﷻ: How many rocks exist in the world? Can you count? Allah ﷻ has knowledge of every single rock that exists in the world and what lies underneath it because He is the creator of rocks and everything else in the universe, including us.

This set of beautiful picture books filled with rich illustrations and creative descriptions, teaches reverence for what may seem to be the simplest of Allah’s ﷻ creations–in this case rocks–and an appreciation for the knowledge Allah ﷻ has given us to put those creations to good use. This book can be easily scaffolded for different age groups if read aloud–reading the simple story to younger ones and discussing the more complex concepts with older children. We recommend the parent read the information in the back first to build a richer experience while looking at each page.
