Goodnight Moon

Goodnight Moon
Synopsis
In a great green room, tucked away in bed, is a little bunny. "Goodnight room, goodnight moon." And to all the familiar things in the softly lit room -- to the picture of the three little bears sitting on chairs, to the clocks and his socks, to the mittens and the kittens, to everything one by one -- the little bunny says goodnight. In this classic of children's literature, beloved by generations of readers and listeners, the quiet poetry of the words and the gentle, lulling illustrations combine to make a perfect book for the end of the day.

Mindful Muslim Review

This lyrical lullaby about a bunny who says goodnight to all the things in his room reminds children to be grateful for all the small things that make their house a home. From the picture on his wall, to his bedtime snack, to the comb and brush on his bedside table, the bunny, by saying goodnight to them, is noticing his blessings of food, shelter, loving care, and the small comforts of home. Allah ﷻ reminds us in the Quran, “He has granted you all that you asked Him for. If you tried to count Allah’s ﷻ blessings, you would never be able to number them. Indeed humankind is truly unfair, ˹totally˺ ungrateful.”(14:34). Building a habit of gratitude at a very young age, even in the simple act of saying good night to one’s blessings, protects a child’s heart from arrogance and heedlessness and brings him closer to his Lord.
