On Earth

On Earth
Synopsis
Climb aboard a giant spaceship . . . the Earth! In glorious art, G. Brian Karas illuminates our Earth and its cycles and does a brilliant job of making the concepts of rotation and revolution understandable. As you travel, watch shadows disappear into night, and feel the sun on your face as winter turns into spring. All these amazing things happen because the Earth is constantly in motion, spinning and circling, gliding and tilting. As passengers of the Earth, our voyage never ends!

Mindful Muslim Review

This book highlights the order and beauty in Earth’s movement with simple text and stunning illustrations, making these concepts easy to grasp for young readers. Concepts include Earth’s rotation, Earth’s orbit, gravity and so forth.  This is a great book to reinforce the Oneness of Allah ﷻ while contemplating the breadth and depth of His infinite power and knowledge about the Earth, the Universe, and beyond. To know Allah ﷻ is to know Him through His creations.  It is important to regularly remind children to reflect on this especially as they are moving away from a concrete understanding of the world to one that is more abstract.
